Teekay’s Aframax Pool is now 33 ships strong with the arrival of the Union Maritime controlled MT Anavatos in late November last year, closely followed by the DSD Aframax MT Stavanger Eagle. Thank you both for trusting us with your ships – this is certainly a good time to have spot market exposure as the markets ticked up nicely in Q4.

We are also big believers in the product market in 2019 and are happy to announce the Metrostar newbuildings MT Prostar and MT Prosky will trade in the Taurus Pool for the foreseeable future.

Last but by no means least, recognising modern and classic ships have different trading opportunities, we have split our Suezmax Pool into ‘Modern’ which retains the bulk of the tonnage and ‘Classic’ which starts with our owned ships older than 15 years – and is something we’re planning to build on throughout 2019.
